Fire resistance according to EN 13501 (for cellulose fire)

In cases where the reference specifications provide for it, the SITAL offer also responds to the request for passive fire protection in accordance with the EN 13501 standard.

The REI protection is available both for the case of fire with internal fire towards the outside and for the one with fire from outside towards the inside of the container. In this second case the mechanical protection “R” is ensured by treating the structural elements (or the entire container) with intumescent paint or certified paneling.

  • Construction in high quality carbon steel or AISI 316L stainless steel

  • Painting with class C5M-H cycle, according to ISO 12944-5: 1998

  • Intumescent paint to guarantee resistance to fire under pressure and satisfaction of the JET FIRE class to be satisfied.

  • Electric lighting system with components for safe area or ATEX certified

  • REI certified motorized dampers, complete with electric actuator for safe area or ATEX

  • Structural passages provided with certified protections for the REI class to be satisfied

  • Automatic fire detection and extinguishing system realized with components for safe area or ATEX certified

  • Cable passages protected by MCT (Multi Cable Transit)

  • HVAC system (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), made with components for safe area or ATEX certified
